About Me

I produce reporting, analysis, and editorial work on politics, security, and culture across Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Russia, and Europe. My work blends journalism, research, risk analysis, and travel content for media outlets, think tanks, and corporate clients. I thrive on translating complex information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.

I’m drawn to underreported stories such as Georgia’s minority language speakers and Uzbekistan’s Bukharan Jews, as well as geopolitical research spanning Kazakhstan–EU relations, military updates on the front lines in Ukraine, Canada’s Arctic foreign policy, South Caucasus energy politics, and nuclear arms control.

Previously:

  • News Editor, Meduza
  • Compliance Risk & Diligence Associate, Kroll
  • International Fellow, Caucasus Research Resource Center
  • Research Associate, Institute for Peace & Diplomacy

My bylines include Meduza, Global Voices, OC Media, The Hill Times, and Lossi 36. I've translated (Russian to English) 80+ longform stories from Russian to English for Meduza and Novaya Gazeta Europe.

I hold an MA in European, Russian & Eurasian Studies from the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy (University of Toronto) and have lived and worked in France, Spain, Georgia, and Kazakhstan. I’m a native English speaker, with professional proficiency in Russian, Spanish, and French.

Currently available for editorial, research, translation, and risk analysis projects.
