About Me

I’m a freelance writer, editor, and translator covering politics, culture, and travel in the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and Russia. With 5+ years of experience, I’ve written and edited features, news, op-eds, newsletters, and social media content.

I was previously a News Editor at Meduza, a fellow at the Caucasus Research Resource Center, and a researcher at the Institute for Peace and Diplomacy. I hold an MA in European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies from the University of Toronto.

My bylines include Meduza, Global Voices, OC Media, The Hill Times, and Lossi 36. I’ve also translated 80+ longform stories from Russian to English for Meduza and Novaya Gazeta Europe.
